Rachael graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Physiotherapy from UBC in 2005. She received a Certificate of Intermediate Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2007, and a Gunn IMS diploma from iSTOP in 2012. She pioneered a postpartum pamphlet with Women’s Hospital in 2010, and is trained to used diagnostic ultrasound to assess core muscle function. Although Rachael has pursued many sports, she began studying dance as an adult, and in 2012 completed a grade 6 RAD certificate in ballet. In 2015, she was co-author in a quantitative research paper investigating injury prevention and excellence in dance. Part of Rachael’s professional training includes extensive studying in the Integrated Systems Model with Diane Lee, a whole body approach. She became a teacher-assistant to international physiotherapists, and in 2017-18 was invited to create and teach her own educational material related to foot biomechanics and training. She continues to update her knowledge: Neurodynamics with Shacklock (2020), National Congress (2024), as well as many courses on neurodiversity and mental health (most recent 2026). She takes inspiration from many aspects of life: Eric Franklin’s Artwork, Porges’s Polyvagal Theory, & Debrowski’s Theories on Positive Integration. Her strengths lie in her 3D thinking and complex problem solving skills. With the impact of covid-19 in 2020, Rachael transitioned to running her own home physiotherapy practice.
Please note Rachael does not work with open WCB or ICBC claims, but does direct bill to Pacific Blue Cross and provides receipts for other extended insurance providers.
